Rhea was a Titaness, the sister-wife of Cronus, mother of Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Hera, Demeter, and Hestia and daughter of Gaia and Uranus. She does not appear in Clash of the Titans, but her husband, Cronus appears in Wrath of the Titans.
In mythology, Rhea hid Zeus in a secret cave on the island of Crete to avoid her son from being eaten by Cronus like the other children. Zeus was raised by Nymphs and was nursed by a fairy goat named Amaltheia.
