The spear is a pole weapon with a sharpened head on one end and a butt spike on the other. The typical Greek hoplite spear ranged from between 7 and 9 feet in length.
Use and capabilities[]
The primary use of the spear by Greek warriors is to be thrust at an enemy from behind the shield, but it can also be thrown and will cause great pain or damage to it's target should it make contact.
